Architecture students at Penn State adorned the lawn on the east side of Old Main
with strings and balloons on the morning of Sept. 21. Every balloon, and string,
represented one vertical line in the drawings of the 'All In Commemorative Piece'
that will be constructed on the site. The students were learning how to translate
construction drawings to an actual construction location.

Second-year architecture students mark coordinates with paint and string during
a field exercise conducted outside Old Main the morning of Sept. 21. The project
asked the students to use existing drawings of the 'All In Commemorative Piece'
and stake out the actual site where it will be erected, taking the drawings to the
construction site and translating them to specific coordinates.
